Mom had a stroke. Her prognosis is unclear. Dad still is at home, but can he take care of himself without mom? All they have is their home, a few retirement accounts and a few small bank accounts. What should we, their children, do? Everyone we talk to has a different answer.

Dad died several years ago. Mom’s dementia has been progressing rapidly since then. She has been wandering. She is not taking her medicine. She needs around the clock care.
